Breathe….Align….Focus   In yoga, it’s so easy to be in a pose and wonder. You may force or pull your way into a pose. Or you may not pay attention to your posture. Learn to take a moment to breathe into your pose, be conscious of your alignment, and let your mind stay focus on the moment,

What Should I Eat If I Can’t Eat Meat?   Oh this question strikes a cord with me because I too asked this question. I have learned that there are many things to fill our diet with that are plant based, like this sauteed red cabbage and curried lentils over jasmine brown rice. To take a healthy step towards your lifestyle, make your veggies the main course and the meat a side (stir-fry is a good dish for this).

Relax…. It’s Just Yoga   Oh how I love my tea, my mat and my shades. Coming to class feeling free, excited and ready to teach; but when I step into class sometimes, everyone is tense, unsure and nervous. Hmmm….how do I lighten the mode? Tell a joke perhaps? I normally walk in with a big smile and greet everyone and ask them how their day is going. I want the students coming in to know that this is their body, this is their practice, this is their journey and I’m only a resource to give them insight on how to get there.

My Students    I love it when new students come to my class not ever taking a yoga class before, and a couple a weeks later, their faces light up because they are able to touch their toes. My classes aren’t motivated by the the money I can make from them; I teach because I love to use my gift of clear instruction to motivate people to their goal. See you in class!
